The boots and tights combination is stylish and practical. It allows women to wear sexy bottoms in cooler temperatures without having to expose their bare legs. Tights with boots can be worn on a variety of different occasions. They complement dressier outfits and can also be casually worn with cutoffs and denim. Black tights are slimming to the legs while colored and bold patterned tights draw attention.

If leggings aren’t your thing, about how a skirt or a dress with riding boots?  The key is to match the style of the boot to the style of your outfit. A more casual outfit?  Go with a more casual boot.  A dressier outfit?  A dressier boot, of course. The smoother the leather and the fewer the embellishments typically the dressier the boot will look.   At least, to my eye.  Tights or no tights, the choice is yours.

This outfit features great pieces for the fall because it has all the essentials you need to own during this transition between seasons. I find the summer to fall transition to be the biggest one of them all since the weather changes so drastically so quickly. I think this brown Salvatore Ferragamo dress is perfect for a day at the office. I also love the color because brown is a great color for fall. This Burberry Jacket is great because not only will it be perfect for this outfit, you could wear it with anything since it’s black. I also paired black tights with the outfit for when it gets colder out. I also love the brown color of this Givenchy purse. I paired it with this simple bracelet which is in the pattern on a leaf which I love for fall. Finally, I added these Ariat ridings boots to the outfit.

Over-the-knee boots, a patterned shirtdress, leggings, and a crossbody bag are low on fuss and high on style.

Depending on your climate, you could totally wear this right now. On cooler days I’d pair it with tights, tweed shorts, and some boots. Once it warms up I’ll pair it with some structured shorts and flats. Denim is a great fabric to work with – you can add so many colors and other fabrics to it!
